A deep connection with nature, a fascination with avant-garde creatives, and a strong belief in the power of civic engagement define the distinctive interests of Alana Brooks.

These passions are not just abstract ideals—they are reflected in every aspect of her academic, personal, and professional life.

Alana holds a B.Sc. in Social Sciences from the University of the West Indies and a Master of Architecture from the University of Toronto. She continues to contribute to the academic community as an instructor at two of Barbados' tertiary institutions. In parallel, she is actively developing a design practice rooted in the intersection of art and science—one that encourages meaningful collaboration with society’s change-makers and emphasizes design as a tool for social transformation.
